The Sims 4 is a life simulation game, similar to its predecessors. Players create a Sim character and control their life to explore different personalities which change the way the game plays out. Sims can multitask such as talk while doing a task. Sims’ moodlets also change the gameplay. For example, a Sim can do a task while being either angry or totally excited.

Gardening, painting and writing are great ways for sims to earn money. Also having your sims search for collectibles then selling them helps to bring in money also.
The dragonfruit and ufo plants are especially good plants to have in your sims garden.

My Showcase thread https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/948861/rosemow-s-rooms-showcase - You could also have one of them marry a rich sim and inherit the cash after they meet their fate at a hungry cowplant. That's not really cheating, it's just a little clever manipulation. Scientist career is good too, you'll get the cloning machine and can clone something really expensive over and over.

Go to the map and visit one of the mansions, ring the doorbell and viola, you've just met some rich sims. - The alien fruits are worth a lot of money. But if you don't have that EP, high quality harvests, and paintings brings in the big bucks.Me on:

Make sure you have a cash register so you can open the store. Sell the violin for however much double or more than you got it for. Restock and repeat as necessary. You can get $30k plus in a matter of minutes.8
- If your skill is high enough you can make some killer money with tips from DJ booth. My sim can bring in between 1000 to 2000 a night. Singles and ladies nights bring in more from what I have noticed in my game.
- With very intense grinding you could make that money in two sims weeks with painting. Don't expect the sim to do anything apart from paint and drink moodlet solver drinks though. (Or use the club interaction 'Rally The Troops' from Get Together.) If you are going to do this small sized paintings net you more money over the course of the 2 weeks.I'm a girl who likes to play with boys, what can I say...

Get a few perfect dragonfruit plants, you can probably get some in the gallery, also take microscope samples from plants, crystals and fossils, and have a community lot with the big microscope so u can study the microscope sampls,... And se the printsSo I just put a beautiful $600,000 house in my world that I want my Sims to live in. I don't want to use money cheats, but I do want my Sims to make as much money possible to be able to afford this house. What are some get rich quick ideas? Obviously i'm not trying to purchase the house in Sim week but hopefully before they die and their children can live there! Right now they are in a house that's worth around $100,000 and only $18,000 in the family funds.- With very intense grinding you could make that money in two sims weeks with painting. Are you saying the smaller paintings sell more than the medium and large? - Have your sim obsessively write books. Each book only takes a few sim-hours or so to write, and the royalties add up quick, especially as writing skill increases.1

No. But the time spent painting small paintings will earn money quicker compared to the time spent painting medium and large.Tumblr:Stardew and Plumbobs

This. Tested it both ways and over the 2 weeks a sim can earn more by painting small paintings just due to the fact you can paint more of them quicker. Works best if your sim has the Creative Visionary trait as then your sim will paint more masterpieces. Also abstract small paintings seem to have the best results but just chose one genre and stick to it (either classical or abstract) as there is like a timing mechanism (not sure on the correct word) where your sim builds experience (sort of) in a genre and so the chance for excellent and masterpieces improves and when you swap genre it resets.

“Instead of putting players in the role of Luke Skywalker, or Frodo Baggins, I'd rather put them in the role of George Lucas.”Will Wright. - How big is the house and is it loaded with custom content ? .I have never built a house past the $250,000.Dragon fruit and blackberries.
- 1. Join a painting club, put a bunch of easels on your lot and host the get togethers there. After the group have left sell all the paintings!
2. Join the science career and make a clone machine, then collect gems and clone the most expensive ones, over and over. - The violin idea posted above is a good idea. I did that some time back with my SuperSim to get her in a expensive house. She was in the house in two days.
Takes a bit more time, but gardening is a good money maker. Maybe this would be a good way to bring in money now, and you could carry the plants over to your new home to help pay those bills. Plus, it's a money maker that can be passed down to the next generations. UFO fruit, DragonFruit, and blackberries are all good money makers (from my experience, in that order of value).
Paintings and Writing are a little more time consuming, but can bring in some good money. I do writing when I want to have a steady flow of cash coming in even when I don't feel like having my sim work all the time (she can take a day or two off for fun, but she'll still bring in her royalty payments, unlike painting, which if she doesn't paint, no money flow). Though, I think (haven't tested, so this is just my opinion right now), that painting can be more of a money maker if you plan on just pushing out the paintings. I have had abstract paintings that go for over 10 grand.2 - How big is the house and is it loaded with custom content ? .I have never built a house past the $250,000.Dragon fruit and blackberries.
No it doesn't have CC but it does use all the packs. The only pack I don't have is Spooky Stuff so i'm all good there. It's a huge house, I think 5 bedrooms. I got it off the gallery. I'm going to make a few changes to it but it's beautiful and I really want my Sims to live there. - 1. Join a painting club, put a bunch of easels on your lot and host the get togethers there. The painting club is a good idea! Sell other people's work! haha! My Sim is a scientist so this I will have to look into! - The violin idea posted above is a good idea. I did that some time back with my SuperSim to get her in a expensive house. She was in the house in two days.

How do I make money off these? Do I just drag them to sell from my inventory? I do basic gardening for my Culinary Sim so she had vegetables and herbs to make dishes, I have never gone that deep into the gardening aspect of the game to do the weird stuff like the UFO and DragonFruit....how do I even get these things? (without cheating) I'm assuming it's a grafting thing. - The violin idea posted above is a good idea. I did that some time back with my SuperSim to get her in a expensive house. Yes, you need to do graft the strawberry with snapdragon to get the dragonfruit. To get the UFO fruit you need to use the rocketship and go on space missions. Blackberries are found on the paths around Oasis Springs Park. I have a outdoors sim who got rich with gardening and completing the aspiration for collectibles. - I've always found songwriting to be easy money. Get up to level 8 in the guitar, piano and violin skills, write one song for each and voila, you're making a cool 2k+ a day. Once you have the songs licensed, you can do other methods in conjunction with this one.
- Woodworking. Get a bench, get to work. With handiness 10 and the Marketable trait you can churn out bathtubs that sell for around 3000 simoleons a pop.
- and yes, gardening is another one of my favorites. Dragonfruits are made by grafting snapdragon and strawberry together. Strawberry and snapdragon are both commonly found pretty much everywhere, so those shouldn't be difficult to locate. The U.F.O fruit is a bit more difficult... I believe I got my first on a random rocket ship mission.
This. And if you have Outdoor Retreat, you can go to Granite Falls, get a schematic of the Camping Mascot, and make those for the same price as the bathtubs - except they take about 30-60 minutes to make (tubs usually take 2-3 hrs). After maxing out handiness and doing this, my sim was able to make 50,000+ per day just from woodworking!Woodworking. Get a bench, get to work. Side note: Want to level up in handiness faster? Call the handyman and start woodworking (or upgrading/repairing something) when he arrives. Then ask him to mentor your sim.- edited August 2016
